Sept 27, 2004 from Deborah Aries - "Hi, I will never forget Miss Lena and the many friends my husband Rene and I made as well as the special friends I had ...Tony Fernandez and his brother, Joe and George ...I'll never forget "the tent" (ha-ha). They used to call me "the white angel" but as they know, I am NO ANGEL! I'll be back someday with my new husband and hope to sample the food again....the meat is delicious."
Oct. 15/03 From Phil Adams, Ottawa Canada - " I enjoyed your new website. As a frequent visitor in years past, I always enjoyed my stay at "Miss Lena's Cabins". God bless Miss Lena and Lester for their chearful receptions. They were a big part of why I kept returning for more visits. I am sad that they are no longer with us. I have been all over Jamaica and even lived in Jamaica for four years and I know down home hospitality when I see it. I welcome the newer units with their built-in amenities. I will return!"
Joy and John, June 16, 2003 - "Dear Donaldsons: Enjoyed seeing all my favorite places on your website! For any prospective guests checking out Donaldson's Inn via the website and wondering if this is your place for an authentic Jamaican vacation , don't hesitate another minute! My husband and I discovered the Donaldsons 27 years ago, and we have made it a priority to go back once a year ever since! That makes 26 fantastic vacations, and we're already booked for this 27th year. We are just two of many, many regular return guests. Donaldsons' Inn has an awesome history of quality hospitality true Jamaican style ever since it started years ago. It's GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT FOOD, GREAT LOCATION, GREAT SUNSETS, EVERYTHING YOU WANT IS RIGHT AT YOUR FINGERTIPS. Joy and John McRae, New Jersey"
Jennifer, March 23, 2003 - "Dear Audley, Jamaica unexpectedly got under my skin. I cried all day the first day back from Jamaica. The states somehow seem foreign to me. I feel like someone ripped my heart out and I left my home in Jamaica, or my umbilical cord, as you say. I fell in love with your country. I can't put my finger on any one thing, but the land, the beauty, the ocean, the sunsets, the food, the spirit of the people, the cheerfulness in the face of poverty, the good will and generosity that was shown to us, the community-mindedness of everyone, so eager to help, eager to share. I was blown away. I am so grateful, and I just pray that I can somehow retain some of that spirit and keep it here in Los Angeles. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
Pam and John, February 15, 2003 - "Hi Audley, Just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful vacation my husband and I had in Jamaica. Staying at Donaldson's Inn was great. Everyone that worked there was very polite, and very friendly. We met so many people that have come to Donaldson's Inn for years because it is so clean, comfortable, affordable and most of all so friendly. I have never traveled out of the U.S. so Jamaica was my first "real" trip, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I have spread the word about Donaldson's to all of our friends. We are hoping to go back next year and bring some friends with us! We have only been back home for 5 days and we are already planning for next year! Please let everyone at Donaldson's Inn know that "Boston" (that's what they called us!) will be back for many years to come."
